Technologically Impaired!

The more I look at it, the more I hate the layout and limitations.
Trying to find a better one that will work. Hoping I can come up with one that won’t be too jarring to my readers when they visit and see a change.
I also want to find a theme that uses the featured images, which are photos I’ve either taken myself or found online.
I also had no idea “my blog” in the menu went to a page with a layout that’s totally different than the homepage until just a few days ago. Silly me. When did I do that? How did I do that? Somehow one of my followers was able to like that page. I don’t even see a like button anywhere!!
Crikey! I’ll have to delete that page. Gotta do something about it.
I have no idea what I’m doing. I can’t stop laughing at myself.
Update 9:23 PM – Wow, I was really tired when I wrote this. Yeah, there’s a like button at the top of the page. Duh.
I had the same problem too when I started my blog! At first I loved the theme, then I spent an entire day trying to find a better one (that was free). Try out some other themes in the live activation. Many have aspects that are annoying or you can’t change, and some are great but missing something important. I like menu at the top where some are on the side, and I wanted my own images to be visible. I wanted my own image as a header, but you win some you loose some!
Yeah, it’s annoying isn’t it. I want to use a free one too. I’m a bit hasty with the changes. I didn’t know what to choose when I started. When I got into this a lot more a couple of months ago, I decided on oxygen too quickly because I wasn’t sure about what features I wanted then. I read that it’s not good to change themes if you have followers. But I don’t think anyone will mind that I need something better to be able to feel happy with my site.
I get your frustration with themes, I think I switched themes 3 times before finding imbalance. Which I’m still not too happy with because it doesnt have a big enough custom header nor sidebars. The columnist or the journalist I think are both pretty cool and it allows you to have a feature image.
Hey thanks, I’ll look into those. I was trying to set search filters to find a different theme and those two didn’t come up. I appreciate the recommendations.
